Two months ago, id Software released the Revelations DLC to DOOM: The Dark Ages, and unfortunately, it caused issues as well.
Chief among the bugs that surfaced was the ?? that players saw from Chain Spear bindings. Today, id Software has released DOOM: The Dark Ages update 1.016, and this should address those issues.

Per Bethesda, today’s patch fixes:
- DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations just received a minor hotfix on all platforms to address the remaining cases where some players were seeing “??” for Chain Spear bindings.
Unfortunately, this patch doesn’t resolve the other issues for the game. That said, whatever bugs are remaining are minor ones, and we can’t say for certain id Software will even attempt to fix ’em.
If another patch is released, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
