SEGA's Glitzy Virtua Fighter PS5 Revival Teases New Info for This Week

It’s been several months since our last update on Virtua Fighter Crossroads, the revival of SEGA’s long-running 3D fighting game franchise from RGG Studio.

But it looks like the Japanese publisher is ready to peel back the curtain a little more, as it’s teasing a 29th October update on the title, which could potentially include a release date.

• North America: 8am PDT / 9am MDT / 10am CDT / 11am EDT
• UK/Ire: 3pm GMT
• Europe: 4pm CET / 5pm EET
• Asia/Oceania: 12am (Fri) JST / 11pm AWST / 2am (Fri) AEDT

Remember, this new Virtua Fighter will feature traditional versus gameplay, as well as a sprawling cinematic storyline set in the fictional South East Asian city of Vilasapara. It’s shaping up to be a true rival to Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8.

I’m personally really hoping for a release date here, as I’ve been itching for an all-new Virtua Fighter ever since I got Virtua Fighter 5 with my PS3. (Yes, it’s really been that long.)

Here’s hoping for tons of new gameplay footage, character reveals, and more later this week.
