Agents having a hard time logging in, it’s due to The Division 2 downtime that’s been triggered today, September 8, by the developers.
This is in order to push out The Division 2 update 2.36 on all platforms, and this aims to eliminate the audio issues that surfaced from the Red Horizon content update.

The Division 2 Update on September 8 Takes Aim at Audio Issues
Per Ubisoft, it says that today’s downtime maintenance is ” is planned to improve server stability and address the ongoing audio issues.”
Same as in last week’s patch, it mentions:
“As we keep investigating and working hard on a definitive solution for all platforms, we expect small improvements on the audio for consoles and significantly improvements to the experience on PC. Please keep adding information to the Bug Reporter after the update, so our team can collect more information and solve it as soon as possible.”

- Boot the game
- Equip SIG 716 Rifle or The Ravenous Rifle
- Go in a high traffic shooting areas (ex: Countdown)
- Shoot with the SIG 716 before hearing explosions
- Shoot with the SIG 716 after hearing explosions
- Notice that the shooting sound will go muffle or mute after the explosions
Ubisoft’s comment: “Hello agents! We made some changes in the Title Update Y8S2.3 ( https://thedivision2.com/tu-y8s2-3-update-notes ) and a small update on the 1st of September ( https://x.com/TheDivisionGame/status/2094697527740178608 ) to address those missing sounds while playing. We’re also continuing the investigation as it is still happening for players.
If you’re also still experiencing weapons and other sounds going mute in your game, please continue contributing to the report and share videos of it happening in your game.”
